We are seeking a dedicated and professional School Administrative Manager to lead the administrative operations of our educational programs and contribute to our vibrant community.
Position Summary:
The School Administrative Manager is a cornerstone of our educational leadership team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of the school office. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily administrative activities, managing financial and record-keeping systems, supervising support staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented leader capable of fostering a welcoming and organized environment that reflects the Centre's Islamic values and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all daily administrative operations to ensure an efficient and effective school office.
Supervise, mentor, and support office staff, managing schedules and workflows to foster a positive and productive team environment.
Manage the full employee lifecycle for administrative staff, including recruitment, onboarding (contracts, background checks, payroll setup), and performance management.
Oversee key financial processes, including budgeting, reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and tuition fee management in accordance with responsible financial practices.
Ensure compliance with school-wide policies and applicable Alberta Education requirements.
Maintain accurate and confidential school records, manage official correspondence, and oversee the student information system (SIS).
Act as a primary point of contact for parents, staff, and the community, handling inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
Collaborate with the Centre’s leadership on strategic initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Education Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in an administrative management role, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Proven leadership skills with experience in team coordination and supervision.
A clean Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search is mandatory.
