Dr. Osama Namaruish – President - is a local family physician with deep connections in the Edmonton Muslim community and is passionate about Islamic education. He is one of the founders of OIAC and is been a long-standing philanthropist in the Edmonton community.

Dr. Mohamed Abufayed - Vice President – is a family physician in Edmonton with a passion for helping anyway he can in the community and has participated on several other organizations including fundraising for those less fortunate and helping victims or war oversees.

Dr. Ismail Taher - Director – is a local family physician with children that attend Islamic schools. He is into fitness and has a keen interest in Islamic education.

Dr. Adel Al Mighairbi, Director, is a family physician who relocated to Canada in 2008 and to Edmonton in 2014. He is passionate about volunteering and contributing to the community.
Treasurer
Yasir Mahmood Saeed – Treasurer – has worked and lived all over the world as an electrical engineer and has a Professional Engineering Certificate but has resided in Edmonton for the past 10 years Yasir is a successful business owner of several locally owned businesses and is an avid outdoor enthusiast.
Secretary
Masudur Rahman – Secretary – has spent over 35 years in Edmonton and is a father of 3 young children and values the importance of Islamic education. Professionally, Masudur has a master’s degree in Health Administration and works in healthcare consulting.
Over 10 years of experience teaching Islamic studies and delivering Da'wah lectures.

Sheikh Yousuf Alalaghi with us in the center, as a teacher of the Holy Quran.
He holds a license (Ijaza) from the Libyan Ministry of Awqaf to teach the Holy Quran.
Ma Shaa Allah, he has been teaching the Holy Quran for more than 17 years, and many students memorized the Holy Quran under his supervision and teaching, praise be to Allah.
He also participated in many arbitration committees for many competitions at Tripoli municipality, which is the place where he live.
It is really a blessing from Allah, the Almighty that Sheikh Yousuf will be one of the supervisors and teachers of the Holy Quran.
Extensive experience in Qur’anic instruction, Qira’at and curriculum development with a strong background in teaching, supervising and certifying students worldwide.

Ijazah in the Qur’an with the ten Qira’at granted by renowned Qur’anic scholars.
Certified in numerous classical works of Tajweed, Qira’at, Hadith, Fish and Arabic linguistics.
Supervised and issued Ijaz’at in multiple classical texts in Qira’at and Tajweed to dozens of students.
Founder and Supervisor of the Ihya project, a specialized initiative for Qur’anic education and Qira’at instruction.
